• In our last post, we covered three of the services we offer, including Preventative Care, Fillings/Restorations & Dental Sealants. These by far are the most common dental procedures, but here we will progress onto more specialty services, dental bridges and dentures.

Being less common, does not make them less important. In fact, finding a dentist you can trust and will provide the absolute best care possible becomes even more critical. Beyond the physical effects, damaged or lost teeth can have a deep impact on an individuals psychological health and self esteem. This is not something we take lightly. Our goal is to understand our patients individual case, formulate a plan to give them the best result, while understanding the social impact they may encounter.

Dental Bridges

Bridges very literally bridge the gap created by missing teeth. By using your existing teeth, two crowns are created to fit over your natural tooth, with a false tooth in between to account for the missing tooth. See the image to the right. Dental bridges can last anywhere from 5-15 years or more. With proper dental care and regular checkups, you can help to maximize the lifespan of your Bridges. If you have questions or concerns with the appearance of a missing tooth, talk to us about your options. We can help guide you to the right decision for your personal dental health.

Dentures

Each individuals journey to denture treatment is unique. We take a consultative approach to understanding your specific needs and concerns. From there, We can work with you to determine whether you will need removable replacements for full or partial tooth loss. Dentures are taken out daily for cleaning and placed back into the mouth.  Some can be enhanced with implants for a more secure fit. The major benefits of dentures is the ability to chew and break down food better.

If you are dealing with tooth loss, you don’t have to suffer alone. Call us and we’ll get you on the path to a healthier, brighter smile!
