Implant Restorations

An alternative to bridges and dentures for missing teeth is to receive a dental implant. The implant process can take anywhere from 3-6 months. Implants are the process of creating a new “root” for your missing tooth. This is usually done with a titanium rod that is placed in your jaw bone. Once the rod is bonded with your bone, you would come to our office for the restoration. This entails taking a mold of your mouth to create a crown that would fit in the implant. The final result is a permanent, natural looking tooth. This image gives a great explanation of the various components of a dental implant vs. your natural tooth.

Immediate Full Arch Restoration

Working with a select few implant specialists and specialty dental labs, we offer “teeth in a day.” Also known as Clear Choice, All on 4 and DIEM. We can give you a screw retained full arch restoration in as little as one appointment. The replacements are screwed onto a series of dental implants providing “teeth” that do not move during function.

Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns or “caps” as they are sometimes called may be recommended if you encounter any of the following issues:

  • Root Canal

  • Cosmetic Reasons, such as dark or mis-shaped teeth

  • Compromised Teeth

  • Broken/Fractured Teeth

When a dental crown is identified as the proper treatment plan for a tooth/teeth, it will be reshaped and then covered or “capped” with a permanent replacement. In the case of a root canal, a dental crown is highly recommended to prevent chipping of your permanent tooth. It is always best to speak with us regarding your individual case to determine whether a crown is the right solution for you.

At then end of the day, no matter what procedure you need, it is best to consult with us to identify a plan of action that best suits your individual case. The key to a healthy smile starts with creating a routine that includes both brushing and flossing daily, scheduling regular dental checkups and addressing any issues immediately. See our post “6 Signs You Need to See a Dentist” for more information on symptoms that may need additional care.

Another tip is to make sure you schedule appointments in advance. If you do not have an appointment scheduled, just call us and we’ll take care of the rest!
